Saman Khan is a Farsi-speaking settler of Iranian origin. Psychotherapy is her first career and first love. She has eclectic experiences of working alongside diverse clients in post-secondary, hospital and community settings.

As a therapist, Saman is warm, grounded and emotion focused. She aspires to create relationships of mutual respect, dignity, and choice with her clients.

She is continuously humbled, inspired and taught by the bravery and resiliency of clients overcoming adversity, healing emotional wounds and creating positive change. To live and contribute in community is important to Saman.

Outside work, Saman enjoys spending time with loved ones, and nurturing her creative side through poetry and dance. Her indulgences include a lovely home cooked meal and a cuddle with her brother's puppy, Mr. Chewie.

Keith Lam is originally from Hong Kong. He has lived in different cities in North America and has had the opportunity to work with people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. He has made Greater Vancouver his home since 2001.

Keith believes that people are capable of making significant changes in their lives. His role as a therapist is to facilitate the change people want. He likes to use analogies in his work, and because he also enjoys good food, you will hear a lot about eating and cooking during the sessions.

Keith uses a range of approaches but mostly cognitive behavioural addressing how our beliefs and thoughts affect our behaviours and emotions; emotion-focused increasing the awareness and understanding of our true emotions to guide us in making choices and taking action in life; and somatic psychology addressing psychological issues through the awareness of body-mind connection and experiential.

Chloé focuses on higher education mental health and the many ways in which career and life issues interact with one another. Chloé has a background in HR, management, and training and has worked with clients from many industries and countries.

Chloé is passionate about cross-cultural learning, and has spent significant time in different contexts, from small town B.C., to Alberta, Quebec, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico, the USA, France and the UK.

Chloé feels very privileged to get to know each of her clients, to understand who they are and what matters most to them. She enjoys supporting clients in clarifying their goals and life direction, and providing support and strategies for any challenges that arise along the way, whether self-esteem, relationships, family issues, chronic conditions, ADHD, loneliness etc.

Chloé believes in the importance of belonging and meaning, and of fostering resilience and life balance as a foundation of wellbeing.

In her free time, Chloé loves doing yoga, cooking and eating delicious foods, playing with her nephews and taking urban hikes throughout the beautiful lands of traditional Coast Salish territory.

He creates a warm, safe and non-judgmental environment where you can freely and safely explore your thoughts and feelings that limit your potential. He wants to help create new opportunities for you to live in the world in a bolder, healthier and more harmonious way.

As a counsellor, Jules Smith collaborates with clients to deepen their resilience, capacities and joy as post-secondary students. She delights in engaging with students to revitalize their sense of purpose in the present and empower their vision for a meaningful future.

She has 20+ years as a counsellor and 13+ years at CapU. She is trained in various therapeutic modalities to meet your needs and goals.

Jules is a settler woman of British and French ancestry living on the homelands and beside the waters of the shíshálh and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nations on what is known as the Sunshine Coast.

She is a spouse, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, auntie and active community member. She is grateful to live close to the forest and Salish Sea where she can often be found walking with friends and her dog, Rico. She is an avid reader, podcast enthusiast and loves outdoor summer festivals.

Audrey Wong has been living and working on Lil'wat, Musqueam, Sechelt (shíshálh), Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh lands and waters since 2018.

She completed her MA in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Her counselling approach is informed primarily by emotion-focused, trauma-sensitive therapy and draws on mindfulness and somatic attachment as appropriate and helpful.

She aims to honour your history and experiences and how these inform your understanding of daily life – where you feel stuck and your strengths.

Audrey sees counselling as a collaborative relationship where you can try new skills and ways of serving your counselling goals. In each session, she works to meet you where you are while looking at where you want to make a change.
